SA Master Couch
Imported from Arizona USA its been selected for its appererance/durability/evergreen capabilities and above all its drought resistance. As SA Master requires 21% less water than any other couch grasses in its class. It has proven to in fact not like too much water. With SA Master’s fine leaf, excellent thatching abilities and deep green colouring it has a high recovery rate if damaged.

Kikuyu
Characterisitic of Kikuyu: Is a more refined version of wild paddock Kikuyu. It has a finer leaf (broader than Couch grass) and runners are as thick and rampant. Kikuyu is still highly invasive and can send runners under paths and into garden beds. It is the most hardwearing of instant lawns and has excellent regenerative properties for repair. It is extremely water effective and suitable for properties where watering is spasmodic ie holiday houses. Kikuyu is dormant in winter from around May to Sept/Oct when it loses colour and does not actively grow, however colourloss is not as dramatic as couch grasses. It prefers full sun but will tolerate a semi shade area.
